The Universidad Veracruzana, through the EXAVER English Language Proficiency Tests and Language Assessment Program, in collaboration with the Latin American Association for Language Testing and Assessment (LAALTA), invites the international academic community to participate in this conference dedicated to examining contemporary issues in language assessment across educational, institutional, and sociolinguistic contexts.
This conference is conceived as an international academic forum for discussing recent developments in language assessment, with particular attention to their relevance for education, language certification, and multilingual and pluricultural contexts across Latin America.

The conference will address key issues related to:

language assessment literacy and the interpretation and use of assessment results;
the impact of artificial intelligence on test design, administration, and scoring;
equality in language assessment with educational, social, and institutional consequences;
the role of assessment in language policy and education;
and assessment in multilingual and pluricultural contexts across Latin America, including international, national, and indigenous languages.
